China’s Hangzhou Zhechen Rubber to shut SBR plant on 20 August

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China’s Hangzhou Zhechen Rubber is planning to shut its 50,000 tonne/year styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant at Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on 20 August for regular maintenance, a company source said on Wednesday.
"We will shut the plant for 20 days," the source said.
The company will complete construction of its new 50,000 tonne/year SBR plant at the site in October, the source said.
On 13 August, SBR prices in China were at yuan (CNY) 17,600-18,600/tonne ($2,767-2,925/tonne), down by about CNY400/tonne from the previous week, according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
For oil-extended grade 1712 SBR, prices fell by CNY300-400/tonne to CNY15,600-16,500/tonne over the same period..
Hangzhou Zhechen Rubber is a privately run SBR plant in China.
