SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Yancheng Super Chemical is planning to shut its 50,000 tonne/year isopropanol (IPA) unit in Jiangsu province for maintenance in early September, a company source said on Thursday.

The plant will be down for 10 days, the source said.

Demand for IPA in China is currently weak, market players said.

IPA prices assessed at yuan (CNY) 9,300-9,400 /tonne ($1,462-1,478/tonne) ex-tank east China on 15 August, according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
