SHANGHAI (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China’s largest methyl methacrylate (MMA) producer Jilin Petrochemical is planning to start up its new 100,000 tonne/year MMA unit in late August, a company source said on Thursday.
The new plant in Jilin province replaces an old 50,000 tonne/year MMA unit at the site that was permanently shut on 23 April, the source said.
The company has an existing 100,000 tonne/year MMA unit at the site that is currently running at 70-75% of capacity, the source said.
