SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Ar-Razi Saudi Methanol Co plans to shut its two 750,000 tonne/year plants in Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia for scheduled maintenance, a company source said on Thursday.

The No 1 methanol unit will be taken off line in end-August and will be down for a month, while the No 2 plant is due to be shut for three weeks from mid-September, the source said.

Ar-Razi Saudi Methanol is 50%-owned by Saudi petrochemical giant SABIC, with the balance held by a Japanese consortium led by Mitsubishi Gas Chemical.
