HOUSTON (ICIS)--LyondellBasell Chemical reported a leaking flange at it propylene oxide (PO) Bayport Choate plant in Pasadena, Texas, according to a government filing available on Thursday.
Lyondell said that a flange was found to be leaking while sending refined propylene oxide.
Operations isolated the leak and depressured the corresponding line. An estimated 143 lbs (65 kg) of PO was released.
It is not clear whether the unit had been restarted, or whether there was any lost production at the 600,000 tonne/year plant.
A LyondellBasell spokesperson said the company does not comment on production issues.
