SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Befar Group’s propylene oxide (PO) facility at Binzhou city in China's ?xml:namespace>Shandong province is now running at normal rates after an unexpected shutdown mid-week, market sources close to the company said on Friday.
The 80,000 tonne/year PO unit was shut on Wednesday because of a minor mechanical issue, but resumed operations on the following day, the sources said.
Befar Group's 110,000 tonne/year PO line at the same site was not affected by the outage, they said.
The company plans to carry out regular maintenance at either of the two PO facilities in early September for around 7-10 days, they said.
