HOUSTON (ICIS)--US chemical producer Flint Hills Resources (FHR) has restarted its Texas cracker after a weekend outage, sources said on Monday.
The company reported a loss of power at its 621,000 tonne/year cracker in Port Arthur, Texas, on 17 August, according to a filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
According to the filing, FHR also reported emissions from its light olefins and aromatics units.
A source said the company began its restart process on Monday.
US spot ethylene prices were at 55 cents/lb ($1,213/tonne, €983/tonne), tracking strong demand and tight supply.
