SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China's Zhejiang Cenway New Synthetic Materials is running its 50,000 tonne/year isobutylene-isoprene copolymers (IIR) plant in Zhejiang at “low rates” after restarting it on 20 August, a company source said on Tuesday.
The company shut the IIR unit on 30 June for maintenance. The original restart date of 10 August was postponed due to feedstock storage, the source said without giving further details.
“The unit is running at low rates,” the source added without specifying the exact rate.
Domestic IIR players are concerned about the increased supply in view of the recent ample supply in the market, traders said.
