Indonesia-based PT Nippon Shokubai runs acrylic acid unit at 100%

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Indonesia-based PT Nippon Shokubai is operating its 70,000 tonne/year acrylic acid (AA) plant in Cilegon, ?xml:namespace>West Java, at full capacity after restarting it in mid-July, a company source said on Tuesday.
The plant was shut in early June for scheduled maintenance, the source said without further elaboration.
Other AA producers in Asia include Malaysia-based BASF PETRONAS, South Korea’s LG Chem and Taiwan’s Formosa Plastics Corp (FPC). By: Samuel Wong
