Taiwan’s CPC to shut No 3 PX/OX unit in Kaohsiung for maintenance

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>Taiwan’s CPC will shut its No 3 paraxylene (PX) and orthoxylene (OX) unit located in Kaohsiung on 24-25 August for a 40-day planned turnaround, a company sources said on Tuesday.
The unit has a nameplate capacity of 260,000 tonnes/year of PX and 40,000 tonnes/year of OX.
“The PX/OX unit will be taken off line once the No 2 PX/OX line runs smoothly,” the source added.
The No 2 PX/OX line located at the same site was restarted on 18 August following a brief turnaround.By: Yu Guo+65 6780 4359
