SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Gaoping Chemical Company, a subsidiary of Shanxi Tianji Coal Chemical Group, plans to shut its 600,000 tonne/year urea unit in Shanxi province, north China, on 25 August for maintenance, a company source said on Tuesday.
“The company will shut the plant for 40 days,” the source added.
The shutdown is unlikely to have a significant impact on the spot market as downstream demand remains weak, an industry source said.
