SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwanese refiner Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) has awarded its tender offering 300,000 bbl of jet kerosene for loading on 26-30 September to Sinopec (Hong Kong), a company source said on Wednesday.

The tender was awarded at a softer premium of Singapore market quotes plus 40 cents/bbl FOB (free on board) Mailiao, the source added.

The tender closed on 17 August and was valid until 18 August.

The award price was softer though there was significant buying interest for the jet kerosene cargo, principally from northeast Asia and the US west coast amid ongoing tight supply of jet kerosene as a result of refinery outages, the source said.

Previously, FPCC awarded a tender offering 300,000 bbl of jet kerosene for loading on 13-17 September to BP at a stronger premium of Singapore market quotes plus 45 cents/bbl FOB Mailiao, according to the source.

FPCC expects to issue a tender offering jet kerosene for October loading in around two weeks, the source said.
