SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Jinzhou Petrochemical, a major butadiene rubber (BR) producer in northeast China, has shut down its 30,000 tonne/year BR plant at Jinzhou, Liaoning province, on 23 August because of lack of feedstock, a company source said on Friday.

Liaoning Panjin has shut down its butadiene (BD) plant on 3 August causing feedstock shortage for Jinzhou’s BR plant, the source said.

No definite restart date has been set for the plant, the source added.

Jinzhou Petrochemical is a subsidiary of China's state-owned oil and gas giant PetroChina.
