SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Nantong Xingchen Synthetic Material’s 70,000 tonne/year polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) plant in China’s Jiangsu province is currently shut for maintenance, which is expected to last until end-September, a company source said on Tuesday.

The plant was taken off line two weeks ago and will be down for 30-40 days, the source said.

Natural-grade PBT is compounded with other addictives and used mainly in the electronic industry.
