SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Aditya Birla Chemicals (Thailand) is running its caustic soda plant at Map Ta Phut in Thailand’s Rayong province at around 60% of capacity following its restart on 28 August, a source close to the company said.
The facility, which has a nameplate capacity of 80,000 dry metric tonnes/year, was shut on 6 May following a chlorine leakage.
Aditya Birla Chemicals (Thailand) is aiming to ramp up its operating rate to 100% in early September, the source added.
Aditya Birla Chemicals (Thailand) is part of Aditya Birla Group.
