HOUSTON (ICIS)--Eastman Chemical will shut down one of its Longview crackers in Texas in October for a turnaround, the company said on Wednesday.
The 358,000 tonne/year unit will go down on 3 October for three weeks, a spokesperson said.
The cracker will undergo routine maintenance, inspection and cleaning, the spokesperson added.
Eastman has two smaller crackers in Longview, each with 141,000 tonnes/year of ethylene capacity.
