US propylene stocks, refinery operating rates steady

HOUSTON (ICIS)--US propylene inventories and operating rates at US refineries were steady last week, data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed on Wednesday.

Propylene inventories remained at their highest level since mid January at 5.194m bbl, virtually unchanged from 5.190m bbl a week earlier.

US refineries operated on average at 91.2% of capacity in the week that ended on 24 August, unchanged from the previous week.

Refinery-grade propylene (RGP) was bid on Wednesday at 37.50 cents/lb ($827/tonne, €662/tonne), but no offers were heard.
