Japan’s Seibu Oil Yamaguchi refinery shut for maintenance

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Seibu Oil’s 120,000 bbl/day refinery in Japan’s Yamaguchi prefecture is currently shut for scheduled maintenance, a source close to the company said on Thursday.

The refinery was taken off line on 27 August and will be down for a month, the source said.

Seibu Oil is an affiliate of Showa Shell Sekiyu KK Showa.

Other Showa Shell affiliates include Showa Yokkaichi Sekiyu, which operates a 210,000 bbl/day in Yokkaichi.  and; Toa Oil, which operates a 65,000 bbl/day Keihin Mizue refinery in Kawasaki.
