SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Canada's Methanex has rolled over its August Asian Posted Contract Price (APCP) for methanol at $425/tonne (€340/tonne), stable from its proposed contract price for August, the company said on Friday.

The company uses the APCP on a CFR (cost & freight) Asia basis as benchmark for its contracts in South Korea and Japan, with discounts.

The roll over was in line with the prevailing market conditions, industry sources said.

The largest uses of methanol are in formaldehyde, MTBE and acetic acid.
