SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Daqing Refining & Chemical has started up a new 300,000 tonne/year polypropylene (PP) plant at Daqing City in Heilongjiang province on 31 August, a company source said on Friday.

The company completed the construction of the PP plant on 30 June, the source added.

Market sources said the company has shut its other 300,000 tonne/year PP plant at the same site to supply feedstock to the plant for the trial runs, but this has not been confirmed by the producer.
