SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea’s LG Chem plans to shut its Naju 150,000 tonne/year 2-ethylhexanol (2-EH) plant for an annual maintenance in early-September, a company source said on Friday.

The company has decided to take the plant off line on 6 September and intends to restart it two weeks later, the source said.

LG Chem is currently running the plant at full capacity, building up inventory levels ahead of the maintenance, the source added.
