SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Junzheng Chemical  restarted its 300,000 tonne/year carbide-based polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plant in Inner Mongolia on 31 August following a maintenance shutdown, a company source said on Friday.

The company took the plant off line on 23 August for a scheduled turnaround, the source said.

The company has no stocks and it has closed offers, traders said.

Spot carbide-based PVC prices in east China were assessed at yuan (CNY) 6,400-6,450/tonne ($1,007-1,016/tonne) ex-works (EXW), according to Chemease, an ICIS service in China.
