Three Asia PX majors settle September ACP up by $85/tonne

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Three Asian paraxylene (PX) majors have settled their September Asian Contract Price (ACP) at $1,450/tonne (€1,160/tonne), up by $85/tonne from the previous month’s settlement.

South Korea’s S-Oil, Japan’s JX Nippon Oil & Energy, as well as Japan’s Idemitsu Kosan have concluded negotiations with their respective customers in Taiwan, Japan and China at $1,450/tonne CFR (cost and freight) Asia, sources from three companies and their customers confirmed.

The August ACP was settled at $1,365/tonne CFR Asia.

There was no settlement from aromatics major ExxonMobil at 19:30 Singapore time (11:30 GMT).
