HOUSTON (ICIS)--Pinnacle Polymers remains on force majeure for polypropylene (PP), as it continues the process of restarting its 470,000 tonne/year PP plant in Garyville, Louisiana, a company official said on Friday.
The company declared force majeure earlier in the week based on difficulties obtaining raw material supplies and rail service interruptions related to Hurricane Isaac, sources said.
The company brought one unit back on line on Friday, the official said. There was no estimate on when the remaining units will be restarted or when the force majeure will be lifted.
