SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Liaoning Huajin Tongda Chemical restarted its 100,000 tonne/year plant on 4 September after completing maintenance at the unit, a source close to the company said on Wednesday.

“The unit has no output for the time being, but it is expected to get products on 6 or 7 September,” the source said.

The unit was taken off line on 3 August for maintenance, which led to a BD output loss of about 7,000 tonnes, according to the source.

There are concerns that increased supply with the restart of the plant could weigh on the BD market, traders said.

Liaoning Huajin Tongda Chemical is a key BD producer in China.
