MELBOURNE (ICIS)--Taiwan Prosperity Chemical Corp (TPCC) plans to keep its phenol/acetone plant at Kaohsiung at about 85% of capacity in September because of tight supply of feedstock propylene, a company source said on Thursday.

The company this month reduced the plant’s operating rate to 85% from about 90% in August, the source added.

TPCC’s plant can produce 360,000 tonnes/year of phenol and 220,000 tonnes/year of acetone.
