SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korean producer Hanwha Chemical is currently operating its oxo-alcohols plants producing 2-ethylhexanol (2-EH) and n-butanol (NBA) at 100% of capacity to build stock, following a restart on 30 August, a company source said on Friday.
The facility, which is located in Yeosu, was previously shut on 28 July because of a typhoon, the source said.
Hanwha Chemical is running the plant at full capacity to cover for the losses in production made during the shutdown after the typhoon, the source added.
The facility is able to produce 110,000 tonnes/year of 2-EH and 10,000 tonnes/year of NBA.
