S Korea’s KKPC to shut synthetic rubber plants in October

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Korea Kumho Petrochemical Co (KKPC), Asia’s largest synthetic rubber producer, will shut its plants in October for maintenance, a company source said on Friday.

“We will shut the styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) and butadiene rubber (BR) plants in early October for about three weeks for maintenance,” the source added.

The SBR plant in Ulsan has a total capacity of 480,000 tonnes/year, while the BR plant in Yeosu has a total capacity of 330,000 tonnes/year.
