HOUSTON (ICIS)--US diammonium phosphate (DAP) exports in July were down by 19% from the same month a year earlier, according to data released by the US International Trade Commission (ITC) on Tuesday.
US DAP exports fell to 235,092 tonnes in July from 289,750 tonnes in July 2011.
Exports fell in July mainly because of decreased demand from India.
India at 103,912 tonnes was the major destination of US DAP exports, followed by Japan at 62,002 tonnes and Kenya at 26,650 tonnes.
Other destinations included Argentina, Brazil, Honduras, Colombia, Ecuador, Dominican Republic and Costa Rica.
