Pupuk Indonesia awards 80,000 tonnes urea cargoes

NAGOYA , Japan (ICIS)--Fertilizers conglomerate Pupuk Indonesia Holding has awarded a total of 80,000 tonnes of urea cargoes via tenders, market sources said on Wednesday.

The company had offered two cargoes of 30,000 tonnes of granular urea, and four cargoes of prilled urea of 5,000 tonnes each.

Hong Kong-based Quantum Fertilisers was awarded the first 30,000-tonne granular urea cargo at $448.75/tonne (€350.03/tonne) FOB (free on board) Indonesia – well above the “reserve price” or minimum price of $420/tonne FOB Indonesia set by the supplier.

Indonesian-based trader Indevco took the second granular urea cargo at $437/tonne FOB Indonesia .

The prilled urea cargoes were awarded at prices in the high-$300/tonne FOB Indonesia levels, well above the “reserve price” set at $360/tonne FOB Indonesia , according to sources.

Three 5,000-tonne cargoes went to trader Fert-Com – one priced at $390.75/tonne FOB Indonesia and two at $386.50/tonne FOB Indonesia

The fourth parcel was awarded to PT Trada Trading Indonesia at $388.25/tonne FOB Indonesia.
