HOUSTON (ICIS)--US refiner ExxonMobil shut down a flexicoker unit at its Baytown refinery in Texas because of a heat exchanger tube leak, the company said in a regulatory filing made available on Wednesday.
According to the filing with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), the event occurred on 11 September and repairs to the heat exchanger will last through 16 September.
The impact on production at the 506,500 bbl/day refinery was minimal and ExxonMobil expects to meet all its contractual agreements, the company said in the filing.
ExxonMobil did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
