HOUSTON (ICIS)--PetroLogistics is considering expanding its on-purpose propylene plant in Houston, Texas, but the company had no immediate comments on Friday.

PetroLogistics may add six combustion units to the current five units that it has at its propane dehydrogenation (PDH) plant, according to an application filed with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

PetroLogistics could also add a charge gas heater, a regeneration air heater and a waste heat boiler among other additions, the application said.

It was unclear how much capacity PetroLogistics would add to the plant if it builds the extra units.

The facility has 544,000 tonnes/year of propylene capacity.
