BUDAPEST (ICIS)--Business intelligence will be a game-changer going forward in the surfactant market as global requirements are increasing, the chief executive of German chemical distributor Brenntag said.
“Business intelligence is the next revolution,” Brenttag CEO Steven Holland said on Thursday at the 1st European ICIS Surfactant Conference in Budapest, Hungary.
“Companies want to be ahead of the market, and this makes business intelligence a game-changer,” he added.
Pushing the need for increased business intelligence is the broadening global demand for surfactant products such as laundry detergents and other home care items, as well as shampoos and other personal care products.
Emerging economies in China and India are adding thousands of tonnes per year of new demand in these type products, along with changing needs in South America and opening demand channels in Africa.
The conference ends on Friday.
