SINGAPORE (ICIS)--South Korea's Samsung Total is currently operating its 1m tonne/year cracker in Daesan at full capacity, unchanged from August levels, a company source said on Monday.

The run rate will remain at 100% for the rest of September, the source said.

The cracker is using 100% naphtha feedstock, the source said.

Typhoon Sanba, which hit South Korea on Monday, has not affected operations at the Daesan cracker, the source said.

Asia’s open-spec naphtha prices for the first-half November contract fell by $10.50-11.50/tonne (€7.98-8.74/tonne) to $991.50-994.50/tonne CFR (cost &

freight) Japan on Monday, according to ICIS data.
