SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>Oman’s Salalah Methanol Co (SMC) plans to run its 3,125 tonne/day methanol plant in Salalah without shutting it for maintenance for the rest of this year, a company source said on Wednesday.
The plant is currently running at 100% capacity, the source added.
Feedstock for the production of methanol at the facility is natural gas, which is supplied by Oman’s Ministry of Oil and Gas through the country’s pipeline systems.
