China’s Daqing Petrochemical holds trial runs at HDPE/LLDPE unit

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China’s Daqing Petrochemical has been conducting trial runs at its 300,000 tonne/year high density polyethylene (HDPE)/linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) swing plant at Daqing city in Heilongjiang province since 13 September, a company source said on Wednesday.
The company plans to complete trial production next month, the source added.
In addition, the company has shut its 250,000 HDPE/LLDPE swing plant at the same site after completing trial runs on 13 September, the source said.
The company has also shut its 200,000 tonne/year LDPE and 80,000 tonne/year LLDPE plants at the same site to allocate feedstock supply for the trial runs, the source added.By: Doreen Zhao
