HOUSTON (ICIS)--Flint Hills Resources (FHR) will shut down its Port Arthur cracker on Friday for planned maintenance, market sources said on Wednesday.

The 621,000 tonne/year unit will be off line for 45 days, sources said.

An FHR spokesperson declined to comment.

Two other crackers in Texas are scheduled to have maintenance in the next few weeks, while a third unit in Louisiana is scheduled for a shutdown later in the fourth quarter.
