HOUSTON (ICIS)--The BASF TOTAL Petrochemicals Port Arthur cracker in Texas was off line on Wednesday after an unplanned outage late the previous day, market sources said.
It was unclear how long the unit would be down, according to sources.
BASF TOTAL has 934,000 tonnes/year of ethylene capacity at the site.
A company spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The cracker is a joint venture between BASF and Total.
