Three workers killed in accident at Germany fertilizer plant - reports

LONDON (ICIS)--Three workers were killed late Wednesday in an accident at fertilizer firm SKW Piesteritz in Wittenberg in Germany's Saxony-Anhalt state, the country's state and other media reported.

The reports said that the workers were employed by a firm doing maintenance at SKW’s facilities.

SKW could not immediately be reached for comment.

SKW is Germany’s largest producer of urea and ammonia, according to information on its website. The company is owned by Czech firm Agrofert.
