HOUSTON (ICIS)--US refiner Valero has shut down the gasoline producing fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) unit at its Houston refinery in Texas, a company spokesman said on Friday.
The shut down is in preparation for a planned turnaround at the 88,000 bbl/day refinery, Valero spokesman Bill Day said.
The planned work will last for eight weeks, according to Day.
The company does not disclose the specific start and end dates of its maintenance work.
