Switzerland’s Syngenta raises 2020 sales target to $25bn

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Syngenta is now eyeing sales of $25bn (€19.25bn) by end of the decade from its eight strategic crops, higher than its previous target of over $22bn, the Swiss agribusiness firm said on Monday.

Its rice and vegetables segment is expected to record combined sales of $5bn, Syngenta said in a statement.

In the first half of 2012, the company had generated sales of $8.27bn.

For the whole of last year, the company’s sales stood at $13.3bn.
