KATHMANDU (ICIS)--Nepal has strong growth potential in plastics as its plastics per capita consumption is just 1kg, an executive of a south Asian trading company said on Tuesday.
Nepal's plastics per capita consumption is the lowest compared with its neighbours in south Asia such as India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, which have values of 8, 2.5 and 2 respectively, said Sharad Kumar Tibarewala, managing director of Polymet SA Pte Ltd, at a one-day seminar entitled Showcase of Plastic & Growth of its Industries in Nepal.
"The mere figure shows how much Nepal can grow," he said.
