KATHMANDU (ICIS)--US chemical manufacturer Chevron Phillips Chemical (CP Chem) is planning to start-up its US Gulf Coast-based cracker and ethylene derivatives in 2017, a senior company executive said on Tuesday.

"This cracker will utilize the low cost ethane from shale gas," Jim Becker, president and managing director of CP Chem Asia, said at one-day seminar Showcase of Plastics and Growth of its Industries in Nepal.
