HOUSTON (ICIS)--TPC Group restored electrical power to its Houston Operations site and restarted its butadiene (BD) plant, a communications director said on Tuesday.

Since the plant was able to return to normal operations, there should be no disruptions to BD supplies, the TPC Group communications director said.

The site can process 2.4bn lb/year (1.1m tonnes/year) of crude C4 and produce 1.2bn lb/year of BD, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The site also has a total capacity 2.7bn lb/year of methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), of which 475m lb is active.

The site lost power during the weekend.
