LONDON (ICIS)--Sasol has declared force majeure (FM) on its methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) production at Moers in Germany because of technical problems, a company source said on Tuesday.
The MEK unit shut down on Monday and Sasol was working to identify and resolve the technical issue.
Further details on the duration of the force majeure were not available.
The nameplate MEK capacity at the Moers site is 65,000 tonnes/year, according to ICIS plants and projects.
