SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Hualong Glycerine plans to shut its 20,000 tonne/year crude glycerine plant at Zhongshan city in south China on 30 September for maintenance, a company official said on Wednesday.

The producer plans to shut the plant for maintenance because of the week-long National Day holiday in China and is expected to restart it on 5 October, the official added.

The Chinese domestic markets will be closed for trade on 1-7 October.

The shutdown will have minimal impact on the markets during the week-long holiday, as there is sufficient supply in the market, industry sources said.
