China’s Shanghai Sinopec Mitsui restarts BPA unit after outage

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--?xml:namespace>China’s Shanghai Sinopec Mitsui Chemicals restarted its 120,000 tonne/year bisphenol A (BPA) unit at Caojing in Shanghai on Wednesday afternoon after a few days of outage, a company source said.
The plant was shut down on 22 September because of a mechanical problem, the company source said without elaborating.
Shanghai Sinopec Mitsui Chemicals is a joint venture between Chinese major Sinopec and Japan’s Mitsui Chemicals.By: Jessica Mao
