SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Korea Kumho Petrochemical Co (KKPC), ?xml:namespace>Asia’s largest synthetic rubber producer, has scheduled plant maintenance from 10 October, a company source said on Thursday.
“We will conduct three-week shutdown at the synthetic rubber plants,” the source said.
KKPC operates a 480,000 tonnes/year styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) plant in Ulsan, 50,000 tonnes/year nitrile rubber (NBR) unit in Ulsan and a 330,000 tonne/year butadiene rubber (BR) plant in Yeosu.
The shutdowns are to tighten supply in October and underpin synthetic rubber prices, a regional market source said. By: Becky Zhang+65 6780 4359
