China’s Shandong Tiexiong Xinsha starts up methanol plant

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Shandong Tiexiong Xinsha brought its new 500,000 tonne/year coke oven gas-based methanol plant at Shandong, in east China on stream on 26 September, a company source said on Thursday.

The company is expected to achieve on-spec production at the plant in mid-October, the source added.

Construction of the plant started in early 2010.

Shandong Tiexiong Xinsha is a subsidiary of Shandong Coking Group.
