SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japanese refiner Cosmo Oil plans to shut its 90,000 bbl/day CDU No 5 at the firm’s ?xml:namespace>
The CDU at the 175,000 bbl/day refinery will remain off line until 14 November this year, the source added.
Meanwhile, the refinery’s 85,000 bbl/day CDU No 6 will continue to operate normally during the turnaround at the No 5 unit, according to the source.
The source declined to comment as to whether the secondary units at the refinery will also be shut at the same time as CDU No 5.
Secondary units at the Yokkaichi refinery includes the 14,000 bbl/day vacuum distillation unit (VDU) No 3; the 60,000 bbl/day VDU No 4; a 31,000 bbl/day fluid catalytic cracker as well as two naphtha reformers with a combined capacity of around 19,500 bbl/day.
